Interviews with Pinzgau butchers, footage of a pasture slaughter and regional folk mythology come together in ‘Alles hat ein Ende’ to create an autofictional video essay that establishes links between the meat industry and passive memory. The artist – who herself grew up in a family of butchers – sheds light on this world, which is still dominated by men, and poses questions about the relationship between life and death.
